Ecosystems and Biomes

Ecosystems...there are many different types, such as the tundra, the rainforest, the deciduous forest, the desert, the ocean, and many more. Each ecosystem/biome has its own unique climate, and plant and animal life. We classified animal crackers as to which biome they would live in if they were real!

Fractions, Fractions, Fractions....


We have learned ALL about fractions. We have created equivalent fractions, compared fractions, added and subtracted fractions with like denominators, and even converted mixed numbers to improper fractions and vice versa! We have practiced these skills so much that we are now experts. Remember to practice creating equivalent fractions, and converting fractions. There are many more to come throughout the year!

Prime, Composite, and Factors

Today we got it! Most of us now have an understanding of what makes a number prime (only 2 factors), and what makes a number composite (more than 2 factors). We got so good at it, that now we are able to find common factors in numbers! We are learning so much!
